A Scout is never taken by surprise; he knows exactly what to do when anything unexpected happens.

Scout Troop 6 at St Luke's United Methodist Church.

Troop 6 began in 1989 when it was chartered by St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Orlando Florida. The mission of the Troop 6 Committee and leaders is to supply enough adult leadership and resources to offer an outstanding Scouting program to our youth.

Troop 6 believes that life is a series of experiences. We understand that our Scouts have other interests and we encourage this as part of the development process from "boys" to "young adults". Our Scouts can participate in camping trips, hiking, and field trips. They can organize and carry out community service activities. They may learn about various career fields, how to handle money and run a business or study science, learn public speaking or first aid. They will explore physical fitness, family life, and citizenship. The activities available to our Scouts are almost endless and are designed to build character, leadership and personal values.

The Boy Scout program gives boys opportunities to learn, overcome challenges and solidify their values. In doing so, boys become responsible young men, better prepared to take their place in the adult world.

The skills and lessons Boy Scouts learn will carry them far into their adult lives. If you have a son of Boy Scout age, consider the Boy Scouts to give him a solid foundation and help him learn to achieve.
