Text Box: TROOP 6

UPCOMING ADULT TRAINING INFORMATION

This page is intended to make you aware of up-coming training opportunities for adults in the Sandlake District. Anyone can take this training, but if you want to be an Assistant Scoutmaster (ASM) for Troop 6, please consult with the Scoutmaster (Brett Courier) first.

REMEMBER: Please provide a copy of your training certificate(s) to the Adult Training Chairperson (currently Scott Hartog) for the Troop records for ANY scout-related training that you take -- on-line or in person.

DISTRICT AND COUNCIL LINKS FOR TRAINING INFORMATION

The training webpage for the Sandlake District is...

http://www.cflscouting.org/DistrictampLocalInfomation/SandLakeDistrict/DistrictTraining/tabid/389/Default.aspx.

The page is much sparser now than in previous years so it is probably better to go to the council training calendar. The training calendar for all districts can be found at the following link by clicking on the “Training Calendar” link on the left.

http://cflscouting.org/Leaders/Training/tabid/71/Default.aspx

Please save the link for future reference.

Youth Protection Training (YPT)

All adults registered on the Troop 6 roster must be current in their “Youth Protection Training” (YPT). YPT expires after two years. Adults that are not current in their YPT will be automatically dropped, by the Central Florida Council, from the Troop roster during recharter in December. You can find instructions on taking YPT on the “Adult Training” tab of the Troop 6 website here... http://www.scout-troop6.org/20.html.
